Is SEO or Social Networks More Important On The Web And Web Site Development Now
Backlinks SEO experts normally rally to these areas as being critical for success on today’s Web. Are they correct?
tweeting tweets are where other people believe the power of the Web is at today. Are they?
My answer?
Yup.
While it may sound like I haven’t answered your question I really have. Truthfully speaking they should be seen as a single entity that is working together for the ultimate success of the entire project.
Take this article you are reading for example. It has a targeted keyword focus and I will be posting it on my Blog. After posting the article to my blog I will use the Twitter and FaceBook icons at the top of the page to share it with my social networks. Next I could create videos and podcasts to share the information with my audiences even further.
As I continue to build a social media platform for my content the search engines will see the link juice and deliver better rankings. People that read the article are then able to make comments which get shared with social communities as the entire process continues to grow.
At times, I get the impression that many people think Internet Marketing should be easy. Truth is, it is not hard to setup a Twitter profile and start tweeting or to decide on a keyword to optimize for and create an article.
So what is the hard part?
Keeping all those silly plates spinning at the same time can be downright mind boggling.
So next time you’re wondering if search engine optimization or social networking is most important it would be my own personal opinion that both are equally critical for your success on the Web. What do you think?
